DIRECTOR'S NOTE

This production has been an absolute blast! We have a brilliant script and an equally brilliant cast and crew, which has only made this process that much more enjoyable to work on. We hope this Rocky Horror experience lives up to audience expectations and yet still has a few new surprises to keep you guessing.

Conceptually, I have not tampered too much with the established cult elements of this production- for fear that the audience may lynch me. All joking aside, our production has one notable difference for fans of Rocky Horror. Instead of the stodgy narrator that only comments on the action of the play, we have a horror movie host hosting the play within the play. Werewolf movie host, Don "Wolfman" Chaney, not only comments but interacts with the audience and world of the play in the camp tradition of Sammy Terry and Mystery Science Theater.

Can you tell I love B-movies? I love them so much that a dear friend and I meet weekly for a Monday movie night, where we watch anything from Brazil to Playgirls Meet the Vampire. The latter type of film we mock mercilessly over martinis and Trisquits. I mention this because I know every film referenced in the song "Science Fiction Double Feature" and have found directing this production in the camp tradition to be more fun than I've had in years.

We hope that you will also enjoy this camp classic and wish you a Happy Halloween.

Amy Leigh has had a blast working on Rocky Horror Show and has learned more through this production than she could have hoped for. Amy Leigh could not ask for a more loving, enthusiastic, and supportive cast and crew and would like to thank her parents and two brothers for being the most wonderful family on Earth. I love you Mom, Dad, Alan and Adam!

She was also the assistant director for IU's 2008 production of the Vagina Monologues. This past summer, she studied at the Bel Canto Institute in Florence, Italy. Charlotte is so excited to be a part of a show that is on her "Top 5 Shows I Need to Be in Before I Die List," and she would like to thank the cast and crew for making this experience nothing less than what she built it up to be!!!

Xavier Brooks Xavier Brooks (Eddie) is a straight up playa and brings that pimp knowledge of the mean streets of B-town to his debt stage role as Eddie. XB-Playa first appeared on the Indiana University stage as a baby playa in early 2003. In 2005, he appeared in a short-lived 'reality' TV show with the T-Bobb Bloomington Comedy Troupe. A few years ago, X took his act on the pageantry circuit and was crowned Mr. Gay USA Wisconsin FMI (for male impersonators) 2006, Mr. Caesar's and Mr. Gay USA FMI At-Large 2007. That's right! Xavier is actually a professional male impersonator who spends his days as a 300 lb black woman name Whryne (Renee Reed) with wild clothes and even wilder hair. You can catch X the first and third Wednesday in November at Uncle Elizabeth's on West Third St.

Black and white headshot of Alana Cheshire

Her favorite past roles include Roxie Hart in Chicago, Aunt Martha in Arsenic and Old Lace, Ariel in The Tempest, and the Executioner in An Adult Evening of Shel Silverstein. Black and white headshot of Megan Flynn
Megan Flynn (Hair/Makeup Artist) is a senior at Indiana University. She was raised in Nashville, TN, where she got her start on stage as Snoopy in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown. She began helping her castmates with their makeup soon after and, as they say, the rest is history. After doing double duty throughout high school, she stepped offstage and is happily behind the scenes. Her favorite production (excluding Rocky!) was Hedwig and the Angry Inch, in which she made the great Ryan Wells into a woman here in Bloomington, Spring of 2007. She would like to thank Russell for this wonderful opportunity, the cast for allowing her to ruin their hair, her parents for being unconditionally loving and supportive, and Alex, who is the greatest partner in crime she could ever ask for.

He is a male spinster, ham actor and member of the BPP's Ensemble of Artists. Black and white headshot of Nick Krohn
Nick Krohn (Assistant Director) went to Indiana State University where he received a BFA in theatre with a performance emphasis. In college, he acted in many productions including Taming of the Shrew, The Laramie Project, and Working. He also directed frequently, including Russell McGee's very own original verse play, Ankhenaten and Nefertiti, and also wrote several plays that were produced as part of the yearly Festival of New Plays. He then moved to Chicago and promptly retired from theatre altogether, until he moved back to Indiana in April where he was dragged kicking and screaming back into action to assistant direct Rocky Horror, for which he is grateful. He would like to thank ESPB for literally everything, his family and friends (especially Jenn and Jessie) for being there and Russ for knowing how boring retirement can be.

He played seven zany characters including Mog Edwards the closeted tailor, Sinbad Sailor and Willy Nilly the clock-work maker. He has also appeared in 45 Minutes from Broadway as George M. Cohan/Kid Burns and Leader of the Pack as Gus Sharkey. As one of the oldest cast members he wishes all the youngsters in the show all the best tonight and in future endeavors.
